Joëlle Kartopawiro
Hello and welcome!
I've set up this page for nearly a month now and I've finally got a few ideas about what to write about myself. A bit strange, rather uncomfortable I find to talk about myself. So I have been postponing it for weeks; and all you could stare at was an empty page with just my name on it!
I don't have it all figured out just yet, just as my blogsite is still 'under construction'. But I'll add things as I go and take it easy breezy (copied the latter word from a friend!). I'll also try to elaborate on my stories/blogs, as suggested by one of my friends. They seem to be short and straight to the point and you've finished reading them even before you exhale - they're that short! I must admit - guilty. It's interesting because in my mind the thoughts are numerous and colorful. And I could tell a story that would last for days. But once on paper we, rather I, tend to polish them and shape them in order to be representable, acceptable and safe...
I've decided to start off at this site to share my three key values in life. They are faith-based. I must tell you that there are many aspects of my life that I can talk about, many layers. And I may decide to share them or not. But all it comes down to is that I am a Christian first, a follower of Jesus Christ, through whom I live and move and have my being.
At 'The Writer's Guild', a group of writers that I recently joined, they asked us to write down our three key values in life. It's been a long time, perhaps even the first time, I have been asked to do that. But it made me stop and reflect on what is important to me in life. Better yet, what I am called to do and want to be known for. I went to the very depth of my soul. And these three values are the closest to my heart (more extensive on my blogsite):
1. Be an ambassador of Jesus
2. Standing in the gap for others
3. Be Inclusive
I am called to inspire, to encourage and to pray. May these words written here or elsewhere find you well. I truly hope that they may put a smile on your face or wipe a tear away. May they uplift a heavy soul or remind you of who you are. To me you are a treasure, valuable and worth writing to!
