Karyn Hitchman
Having worked in the fashion industry in New Zealand for many years as a pattern maker & designer, I, Karyn (nee Tippett), made a life style change in 2006 and moved to Queenstown, New Zealand for the magnificent alpine scenery, and to pursue my true passion - painting. Since moving to Queenstown I have rekindled my love of painting and am now an active committee member of the Queenstown Arts Society. I exhibit at the society's Cloakroom Gallery and other locations around Queenstown. The move to Queenstown was inspired by two things; my love of the natural beauty of New Zealand and along with my husband Peter, the purchase of a guiding company that takes us deep into the untouched back-country of New Zealand. My studio is in Queenstown and as such is surrounded by alpine views and crystal clear waters. This tranquility gives me the space and quiet to create individual works of art.
