I like long walks on the beach in Montauk and the way the incoming waves just barely touch my toes. I like my cat and my dog and their never ending need for attention. I like the smell of fresh bread and new books. I like the way my favorite paper back has deep creases on its binding and folded down corners marking the pages of my favorite passages. I like the sound of high heels on the marble floors of offices. I like Saturday mornings and my moms chocolate chip pancakes even though banana pancakes are my favorite. I like silk dresses and easy white t's. I like high waisted jeans and crop tops. I like pulling my hair back into a messy bun. I like to sleep with no pants on so it's easier to move under the covers. I like to be a little cold falling asleep so I'm forced to cuddle with my blankets. I like good morning texts from guys who make me laugh. I like to travel. I like not knowing where my life is going to take me. I like to be inspired and challenged by everything around me. I like talking to people about the things that inspire them and the way their eyes light up when they talk about something they love. I like to binge watch Netflix. I think it's normal to have days where you don't want to talk to anyone and would rather keep company with yourself. I think that it's crucial to know who you can rely on in your toughest hour. I am my mothers daughter and my dads little girl. I like when you finally find the perfect outfit for an event. I like that my twin brother and I are old enough to be friends and can hold a conversation without fighting. I like that I'm from manhattan.
