Kasey Catalanotto
Baton Rouge, La
Hello! My name is Kasey Catalanotto, and I'm a junior at Louisiana State University. Since I have such a huge passion for writing, I've decided to major in mass communication with a concentration in journalism and a minor in psychology.
The past three years at this university have been busy, to say the least! I've been involved in Student Government as a Senator for the Univeristy Center for Freshman Year, Senator for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Vice Chair of the Committee on Student Auxilliaries and Services, member of the Student Parking Appeals Board, member of the Greek Board of Directors and member of the Freshman Leadership Council. However, my junior year has been the best so far! I'm proud to say that I'm a founding member of the Alpha Phi, Delta Tau Colony. I've met some amazing women in this sorority and I couldn't be more proud to call them my sisters!
When I'm not attending Alpha Phi events or bogged down on studying, you can most likely catch me working. At the tender age of 20, I started my own marketing business, Bengal Bites Marketing & Demos, and it's been such a blessing. Not only have I met so many wonderful people along the way, but this opportunity has strengthened my worth ethic tremendously. As if my studies, sorority, and own business weren't enough, I picked up a second job at The Fresh Market as a bulk/candy/floral specialist. I guess you could call me a "go-getter."
During my leisure time, if I have any, you can bet I'll be in Death Valley on Saturday Night to cheer my Tigers to victory. Besides that, you can catch me writing or painting, two of my deepest passions.
After graduation, I hope I'm fortuante enough to find a career that allows me to utilize my writing potential in the best way possible. With the desire to view life from various cultures, I hope my career allows me to travel the world so I can experience life outside of my four walls. As I travel, I will hope that through my writing, I can ignite the same fire in others and inspire them to view life outside of their boundaries.
