Julie Kashen's mission is to enable individuals and families to thrive at work and at home.

Julie has championed this issue throughout her career. Julie helped launch the national paid sick days movement – introducing the first national legislation as Policy Advisor for Senator Edward M. Kennedy. She also helped New Jersey to become the second state in the nation to enact Family Leave Insurance, leading the effort through her role as Deputy Director of Policy to Governor Jon S. Corzine.

In 2012, Julie launched her consulting firm focusing on the three main aspects that facilitate work-family thriving:

• Individual Coaching: Coaching individuals to help them make great decisions, be leaders in all aspects of their lives and feel content with their choices
• Leadership Consulting: Developing support for organizations and managers who want to improve their employee engagement and flexibility options
• Public Policy: Working through public policy to improve relevant laws
