kashish das shrestha

Born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, Kashish Das Shrestha is a writer and photographer has been based in New York, USA, since 2003. His photos have been published by Vogue online (America), Gotham magazine (New York) and Q and Mix Mag magazines (UK), to name a few. He also worked as the New York Fashion Week photographer for Metro daily newspaper for five seasons since 2007. In 2008 he was interviewed about his work by Brian Lehrer on the Pea Body award winning radio program, the Brian Lehrer Show on WNYC. His photos have been exhibited in Belgium (2010)by the organization International Alert, and Geneva (2009) by UNHCR. His solo exhibitions includes Marfa to Manhattan (December 2009), hosted with the support of the US Embassy in Nepal, and 'Home,' and 'This Time,' hosted by UNHCR. He has also participated in four group exhibitions in Nepal between 2007-2010. His writings have been primarily published in English national dailies, weeklies, and magazines in Nepal. On occasions, he has reported for BBC Nepal Service too.
