Kassana Holden
An artist and designer working in paper, printmaking, textiles, and home décor, Kassana Holden owns and operates Bergamot Studio in Washington's Puget Sound region. With a diversified background in her field, Ms. Holden set the stage for her career while an undergraduate at Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont, where she pursued studies in fine art, textiles, and drama. Following receipt of her Bachelor of Arts from Goddard, Kassana Holden relocated to the Pacific Northwest and furthered her education through continuing coursework in drawing and printmaking at The Evergreen State College. She also studied industrial design and photography at the University of Washington. Ms. Holden went on to teach textile design at Seattle Central Community College, serving as an Adjunct Instructor for nine years.
In tandem with her teaching responsibilities, Kassana Holden joined the staff at Eddie Bauer Home in 1995, entering into a 15-year tenure with the brand. Beginning as a Textile Designer, Ms. Holden earned promotion to Associate Designer, Designer, and Design Director during her first five years with the company. In the latter capacity, Kassana Holden played a key role in developing and executing the look and feel of Eddie Bauer's entire line of home furnishings, creating seasonal products in accordance with brand objectives and contributing to the company's growth at home and abroad. Promoted again in 2005, Ms. Holden assumed additional responsibility for Eddie Bauer's Licensing division, in which role she developed strong partnerships with licensees and generating millions of dollars in royalty revenues in the process.
Leaving Eddie Bauer Home in 2010, Kassana Holden has since founded Bergamot Studio, where she creates a wide range of custom fabrics, wall coverings, stationery, art, and other ephemera. To see some of the latest work from Bergamot Studio, please visit her official website at www.bergamotstudio.com.
