I'm a researcher passionate about the notion of ownership in organizations. Beyond shareholdings and property rights, I am curious to understand the cognitions and emotions underlying ownership of organizations and investigate the implications thereof for organizational members' behavior. My investigations cut across organizational layers to include investors, managers, and employees. I draw on both qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques employing (mostly) MAXQDA and Stata software packages.

I hold an MA in communication science (UZH) and a PhD in international management (HSG) and am the recipient of the Swiss National Science Foundation and the European Union's Marie Curie IEF fellowships. I've received part of my training and conducted investigations at the Kellogg School of Management (NWU), the W.P. Carey School of Business (ASU), and the Wharton School (UPenn). I have almost ten years of research experience in the areas of ownership structure, shareholder activism and firm valuation.

I contribute to knowledge on capital market intelligence and strive to bridge the gaps between European and Anglo-Saxon perspectives on corporate governance.
