Sometimes people ask me what my favourite thing is about photography. Honestly? Although yes, it is satisfying to spend hours preparing a shoot, getting the lighting exactly how you want it, make up and hair just right and the model perfectly posed to achieve the flawless shot, this is not it. What I really love is the unexpected. The in between moments. Seeing something so unique, or capturing a person in a completely natural state. Whether that is a laugh, a smile, an interaction between two people, an accident, a mess or a moment of appreciation. To me this is true beauty. Life, as it happens. This is why I love being a photographer.
