Hello,
I'm Kate, and I am an 18 and live in Ireland. I dearly love watersports and the ocean, I have a strange fear of foxes and an unhealthy obsession with halloumi and dark chocolate. I would describe myself as wacky, creative, shy, passionate and adventurous. Now, lets get down to the nitty gritty.
First off, I love writing, which was the reason I first considered creating my blog. I decided to start a lifestyle blog, focusing on five main areas: travel, food, photography, opinion and fashion.
I am hugely passionate about photography and travel. My main goal in creating this blog is to share a completely honest and vivid picture of every new place I visit. I want you to feel as if they are travelling with me, which is why the visual aspect of my blog will be equally weighted with the written aspect.
I am a passionate vegetarian (who enjoys dipping in and out of veganism) and I want to share my views on the food industry, list different great vegetarian friendly venues along my travels and share some of my own healthy recipes.
As I mentioned already, writing is a huge part of my life. I am an extremely opinionated person and I really enjoy discussing a wide range of topical issues. You can expect posts on feminism, gender roles, politics, mental health, social stigma, body image issues and social media, plus much more. Yeah, just a warning, I cannot promise rant free opinion pieces.. Sometimes, I just can't help it! But I think that it will be really fun to have a platform to share my opinions freely.
I do plan on sharing occasional fashion and makeup posts. Expressing myself through fashion is fun, but I don't want to dwell on my appearance too much in this blog. I think that all the other sections of my blog are more important, but I would like to share some of my good value purchases and cruelty-free brands. I don't want to spend time promoting unrealistic ideals of beauty, or to imply that appearance is in any way more important than creativity and intellectualism. However, my appearance is still part of my life, thus I will create content based on it.
That is pretty much it. If you have managed to read this pile of waffle, firstly I want to congratulate you on your patience. Secondly, I want to question your sanity (in the nicest way possible).
Please have a look at my blog, and leave me brutally honest comments on what I am doing right/wrong.
Lots of luvvvvv,
Kate Lily.
