I live in the magickal county of Cornwall in the South West of the UK, where three quarters of our borders are surrounded by coastline from the Atlantic Ocean and the English Channel. I live in Saltash - the town that is known as the 'Gateway to Cornwall' and is the first town you drive through as you get across the Tamar Bridge if you're driving or the Royal Albert Bridge built by Isambard Brunel - known locally as the 'Brunel Bridge' - if you are arriving by train.
I live here in Saltash with my husband, two daughters and our cat 'Dini' (short for Houdini - because as a kitten she always escaped from the box no matter how tall the sides were, and the name stuck!). Dini is actually sitting on my lap as I type, overseeing my writing and enjoying the heat radiating from my laptop :D
I am lucky enough to be a work at home mum, though I didn't really expect to be doing what I do now - I had planned to continue with my aromatherapy practice from the spare room, but as motherhood usually makes things go pearshaped when you try and plan your career around it - I ended up designing and making childrenswear instead and discovering how to empower other women to create the lives that they dream about when they aren't knee deep in nappies or doing the school run!
When I'm not working you can find me in the garden, finding snails with my girls and growing sunflowers - and trying not to mix the two! I love to walk along the beach or along the moors with my husband and girls, or visiting my many siblings and their children (I'm the eldest of nine and to date have four nieces and two nephews :D). I also work with angels and my spirit guides and love crystals, sea shells and herbs. I'm a hedgewitch at heart and love everything magickal. I'm passionate about nature, and eco-friendly products, hence why the clothes I design and make are made from fairtrade cotton, organic cotton and bamboo - because I would rather put something ethical next to my skin, and because my husband and youngest daughter both have eczema and wearing eco-friendly fabrics really helps their skin to stay healthy. I've discovered recently you can even get fabric made from banana pulp - so guess what my next project will be? :D
I started this blog to jot down the inner musings from a mumpreneur - trying to juggle family life, whilst following her dreams of manifesting a perfect life with no worries about money and ultimately owning a house by the sea.
