I have two decades of experience as an academic, branding consultant and researcher. My work and research takes a transdisciplinary approach to exploring the cultural + creative industries, in particular (but not limited to) fashion consumption in society.
I hold a PhD in consumer psychology, which explored the commodification of holistic consumption and the authenticity of feminine value systems in this process, using an interpretive, qualitative, phenomenological framework.
I am Associate Editor of the Marketing Review and founder and Chair of the Fashion Marketing and Consumption (FMC) SIG (circa. 2015), which aims to galvanise debates and expand knowledge, expertise and practice in the sector. The SIG aims to create a legitimate space that fosters a dialogue among academics, industry and students working or studying in the area. The expanding network takes a liberal, inclusive approach and members of the group include academics, new researchers, PhD students and spans fashion, cultural and creative industry sectors
