Kate Cole

Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Kate discovered a love for music at a young age, beginning her violin studies at the age of five. Throughout her childhood, she performed regularly in music festivals and youth orchestras throughout North America and Europe.
Kate graduated with Outstanding Achievement from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in 2010 where she learned with esteemed violinist Denise Lupien. After graduating from McGill, Kate received a scholarship to pursue a Postgraduate degree at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with renowned violinist Sophie Langdon. After graduating with a First Class degree from the Academy in 2012, Kate now performs as a freelance orchestral musician throughout the UK, regularly playing with some of the country’s finest orchestras including The Philharmonia, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera and Opera North.
