Kate Lawrence

Jackson, Tennessee

I grew up in a teeny-tiny river town in West Tennessee with a passionate dream of seeing the entire world. Now, a senior at Union University, I am studying business administration with a strong desire to be in sales, more specifically, ad sales. A couple of summers ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to intern at Country Music Television in Nashville. It was there I discovered advertising sales to be not only an intrigue, but a talent of mine. I find advertising to be a very beautiful art form that possesses people to feel emotion admidst even the most mudane and average of days. Ad sales combine that with my knack for being a proven successful saleswoman. You better believe every day in my professional life will include a power blazer with a statement necklace.

To me, the best days spent are days in my jeep with country radio on. In a perfect world, Shania Twain is still queen and brunch is an everyday affair.

Even with dreams of the Mad Men life on Madison Avenue, the south will always be my home. Graduating in May, I keep reminding myself of what Shakespeare and my mom would say, "The world is your oyster."
