Kate Atwell
Student and Musician in Wooster, Ohio
Twenty year old Kate Atwell is a singer-songwriter whose voice blends folk, soul, and acoustic rock together in an intimate way. She is currently attending The College of Wooster in Ohio, but is a local to Vashon Island Washington. Performing and creating music have been a huge part of Kate’s life ever since she began playing guitar at age ten. During high school Kate took joy in participating in Vashon’s thriving art scene. From performing at festivals, open mics, and the farmers market, to opening for well known Seattle bands such as The Physics, The Young Evils, and Tangerine. Kate has also taken advantage of Wooster’s art scene, performing at local restaurants, college shows and partaking in some of the numerousstudent run musical ensembles and small bands. She has also found a lot of inspiration collaborating with other talented musicians at the college and help showcase Wooster’s vibrant and talented music scene. While she is not a music major, she hopes to peruse her performance and songwriting for the rest of her life.
If you are interested in hearing more of her music, Kate dropped her first album Lines this summer, which focuses on coming of age experiences. The album can be found on Spotify or Sound cloud.
