Kate Ward
Blacksburg, VA
My name is Kate, and I am a “twenty something” college student just making my way. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but have spent the past 3 years of my life living in good old Blacksburg, Virginia attending Virginia Tech. I refer to a lot of places at home, and to me, home truly is wherever my heart is. I am a Human Development major and want to attend graduate school for counselor education, and then go on to be a high school guidance counselor. I am a college student who is not lucky enough to have my parents paying my way through college or paying my bills for me, so I work a job here at school, which most kids would hate, but I LOVE my job here at school, as I work with some of my best friends. Although I am from the north, I am a new found sorority girl, and love my pearls and my ZTA girls. I’m a die hard football fan, of the Pittsburgh Steelers of course, and now my Virginia Tech Hokies! There is no where else I’d rather be on game day than in Lane Stadium jumping to “Enter Sandman”. I’m really into DIY stuff, long naps, nights out on the town with my friends, and long road trips by myself. My guilty pleasures in life are: Riddles Skittles, Caramel Flavored Coffee, new books, new eyeliner, new underwear, and a cheap bottle of white wine. Things I HATE? Humid days, spicy foods, merlot, and condescending people.
If you took the time to read all of that, thanks, it was really random so thanks for hanging on that long. I hope you enjoy reading about my life, as much as I (usually) enjoy writing about it. I started this blog for my own personal benefit, and that’s the way it will stay. I used to write in a journal everyday, and I mean everyday to the point that sometimes it was twice a day if I felt like it. I am still trying to get back into that, but I feel like this is a happy medium.
