Kate Eckman has spent much of her life in front of the camera.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was voted, “Most likely to have her own TV talk show,” by her high school classmates. Friends and family describe Kate as fun-loving, hilarious, determined, hard-working and compassionate—someone with an infectious enthusiasm who loves life.
Kate attended Penn State University on a swimming scholarship. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications, and headed straight to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an entertainment reporter.
It didn't take long before Kate was interviewing hundreds of prominent news makers like Angelina Jolie and President Barack Obama.
After four years of red carpet reporting in Hollywood, Kate went to graduate school and received her master's degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
She spent five years working as a TV news anchor and reporter, primarily for NBC News affiliates. She covered the courts in Chicago, was a White House correspondent in Washington, D.C., and specialized in reporting on wildlife and the environment in South Florida.
Grateful for her reporting experience, but ready for a new challenge and adventure, Kate moved to New York City and reinvented herself as a model.

Kate is thrilled there is a place for her curvy body type in the fashion world now, and hopes to inspire young girls and women to be fit and healthy and love, accept and honor their bodies. She also teaches the importance of focusing on one's inner beauty and uniqueness.
When Kate isn’t modeling, she can be seen on QVC as an On-Air Beauty Host.
She is also a contributing writer for mindbodygreen, where she shares personal stories and experiences and messages of self love and validation, body image, beauty, health and fitness.
Kate is a certified Reiki master, graduate of Gabrielle Bernstein's Spirit Junkie Masterclass and aspiring motivational speaker and author.
