Kate Grealy

I began performing as a busker at the age of 15 in my home-town of Albury in regional Australia, and since then have had the opportunity to perform at Australia's major festivals and music events, and alongside prominent international artists such as Paul Kelly, Troy Casser-Daly, Xavier Rudd, Dallas Frasca, Jordie Lane, and many others.

Moving to Indonesia to pursue a new professional role in 2012, I have continued writing and performing and has played with some of Indonesia's top musicians and songwriters including Bondan Prakoso, Anda Pradana, Jahanam and more. I have also collaborated with Indonesian writers Novriantoni Kahar, and Fahd Djibran, as well as the Hellhouse Hip Hop Community. Some of these performances are here on my youtube page www.youtube.com/kagrealy

I finished recording my second EP in late 2015 in the Central Javanese city of Jogjakarta in collaboration with Indonesian artists. This EP will be released in 2016.

In my day-job world I research political science issues, and am interested in international relations, democratisation and political violence. I occasionally blog about these themes over at www.kategrealyriadi.com
