Katelyn Hernandez
office assistant in Psychology department in Azusa, California
Hi, I'm Katelyn.
I will be graduating in May from Azusa Pacific University with my B.A. in Psychology and pursuing a Masters degree in College Counseling and Student Development.
As a first-generation college student, I am passionate about serving and equipping college students for success far beyond their college careers. I am relationship-oriented and desire to walk alongside students to help them self-develop, feel a sense of belonging and strive towards their goals in life.
I have been working in the Graduate School Psychology and School Counseling Department for three years as an office assistant.
My interest and love for other cultures and languages has derived from leading missions trips to Mexico and studying abroad in South Africa.
I am excited about fitness and play softball and volleyball in my free time. Additionally, I enjoy singing and leading worship for my church and university. I am an active member in my church and serve as a spiritual mentor.
I look forward to the opportunity of building upon my skills as a young student affairs professional.
