Katelyn Everson

Katelyn of Katelyn Everson Photography has had the passion of making photography her every day job since as old as she can remember, being able to pay the bills with this hobby that has become her career, has been her dream since she was old enough to hold a camera. Gathering up friends to do photo-shoots and exploring different locations to shoot at, was a regular accordance in Katelyn’s childhood life.

From her first job, she made her first big purchase, her DSLR camera she still uses today. “I remember when I bought my camera, I said that it was a smart purchase because it is going towards my schooling, but in the back of my mind I didn’t really think that it was going to become a reality, as I was a high school drop out at the time” she expresses about her perseverance on her beautiful journey that she wouldn’t change a thing about. Even know Katelyn was 2 years behind school, that didn’t stop her. She ended up being able to graduate high school one year earlier than expected (skipping a grade forward).

After finishing her one last credit she jumped right into an employment program (L.I.N.K.S) the next mouth, not taking any time off. In that program, the coordinators helped Katelyn to figure out where she wanted to go with her life next, coordinating her with an internship with The Coast Newspaper as a photographer, to give her a little bit of experience in that field, to see if shed like to go further with her photography.

Right after graduating from the five mouth program, she applied at the NSCC Photography Corse, and got accepted which brings me to here, in her second year in the program. Through the program, Katelyn has found a love for capturing that monumental moments of love, guinine smiles and that beautiful connection between her and her subject weather it be two people in love or a connection with nature, weather it be a connection with a mother and her unborn child or a connection of a model and the camera.

After Community Collage, Katelyn plans on expanding on her journey and experience with photography.She hopes to get a job on a cruse ship, drifting the world, capturing the beautiful experience of those families on vacation, to pay off her student loan. After that, she would like to travel around the world, taking documentary photography, bringing awareness about the cruel things that are happening around the world, hoping to leave something behind that might change someones life one day.Contact 4 more info
