I'm Kate and I perform as a mermaid, write and illustrate the Caterina Mermaid series, and co-host Starfish Hill TV with Mikey Mermaid of Tumblr. I am also a college student studying art and marine physics and chemistry. I made this blog as a place to talk about a variety of ocean-sciencey and feministy topics in a more mature way than I can on Starfish Hill. Oh yeah, and I love the ocean.

She lives in New York with her parrot and four betta fish.
