Kate Merli

New York-based Kate Merli has served as the Chief Financial Officer of the growing private equity fund New 2ND Capital LP since 2018. She focuses on activities such as working with the fund's administrators that facilitate the development of operational value while coordinating other non-core activities with external service providers. Kate Merli’s duties also include tracking potential exits and anticipating the cash flow impacts of transactions.

Ms. Merli also establishes new client and fiduciary accounts in tandem with the fund administrator and custodians. She handles distribution and capital calls for underlying partnerships and manages fiduciary account-related cash flow needs.

An alumna of Bentley University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accountancy, Kate Merli began her career at KPMG, LLP, in Boston a decade ago. As a lead senior associate, she managed several large financial statement audit undertakings. Working within a team-focused, deadline-driven environment, she also established audit plans and guided junior staff members in internal control and auditing tasks and presented results to clients and company management.
