Kate Mokry

My Legal name is Katelynn Elizabeth Mokry and I was born on August 18th. I grew up in Lake Villa Illinois off of the Fox Lake. Up until High School Graduation I had been figure skating for eleven years! I am a 2013 Golden Apple Scholar that graduated from Grayslake North High School, in Grayslake Illinois. I currently attend Eastern Illinois University located in Charleston Illinois, GO PANTHERS! At Eastern Illinois University I am studying Secondary Mathematics and Special Education. I am very involved on my campus, especially in housing. My first year at Eastern Illinois University I made a difference by being the only freshman on the Residence Hall Association Executive Board, serving as the secretary. Through all my hard working in Residence Hall Association, Volunteer Groups, leadership experiences, and working on the Dinning Committee I was able to land an Residence Assistant position on the Fourth Floor in Taylor Hall! I try to stay busy and involved on campus because it is the best way to make new people and network within the campus! I am so excited for what my future has in store for me at Eastern Illinois University and as a Teacher after graduation!
