My name is Kateryna. Today I have about 6 years of pedagogical experience. But I didn’t realize myself as a teacher right away. After graduating from the pedagogical institute and having worked as a teacher for two years, I realized that I doing something wrong. I decided to take a break and try myself in a private school in an administrative position.

After a while I started to organize and maintain common-school projects and then become again teach lessons. One day, watching as students perform their tasks, I realized that working with children brings me pleasure, makes me happy and adds meaning to my life.

Therefore, apart from the pedagogical component, I know how the school works from inside.

First of all, I try to make a comfotable atmosphere in classroom for every student.

In recent years, I have learned a lot of new techniques that I am now trying to practice in the teaching of my students. In particular, group forms of work, application of strategies for developing critical thinking, elements of integrated learning, problem solving, enquiry based learning. I try to develop tasks for students not only interesting and bright, but also meaningful. I love to review the sites and blogs of my foreign colleagues, from whom I take a lot of ideas and inspiration to create my own materials.

Fortunately, now I have many opportunities to attend different seminars, work shops and courses which are organized by our school administration.
