Kate Tansey

A specialist in social work and mental health, Kate Tansey has also become an expert in organizational governance after spending 15 years working at and leading nonprofit organizations. In addition to her personal experience, she also possesses certification in Changes and Transition from William Bridges & Associates, a consulting company that trains professionals to help individuals and organizations deal effectively with change. Since earning her certification, Kate Tansey has helped organizations deal successfully with the human side of change and to capitalize upon it as an opportunity for development and innovation.
Kate Tansey’s personal experience with organizational governance comes from her years spent at Catholic Family Services and the St. Louis County Children’s Service Fund. While at the former she served as a Therapist, District Director, Clinical Director, and Campaign Manager for the Community Children’s Service Fund, at the latter she led the nonprofit as Executive Director. In addition to acting as a consultant to organizations dealing with change and transition, Kate Tansey is also currently an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis University’s School of Social Work, where she teaches graduate-level courses on Social Justice and Social Policy.
