Kate Whaley
I am a music teacher specializing in clarinet instruction in the DFW area. I currently teach at the Travis Academy of Fine Arts, Aledo ISD, Burleson ISD and enjoy having students from other school districts attend lessons in my home. I attended the Eastman School of Music from 2007-2011 and recieved a Bachelor of Music Degree in Applied Clarinet with High Distinction. I have experience teaching Music Theory and Music History at the high school level, Primary Music for ages 6-9, and I am the Assistant Director of Bands at Travis Academy of Fine Arts. I emphasize musicians' health and the importance of physiological and ergonomic awareness in all of my teaching situations and am passionate about yoga and nutrition as well. I live in Arlington, Texas with my husband, Ty, and my two dogs, Nellie and Whiskey.
