Hi! As a Recruiter, I am always looking for new ways to grow my social network; I am hoping about.me will give me the opportunity to meet all the wonderful people out there who I might miss while searching the job boards and LinkedIn! I didn't go to school to become a Recruiter ... in fact that degree doesn't even exist! I went to school for communications and political science because I love to talk and I find politics very engaging (but we won't talk about that here)! After college, I started my first "big girl job" at a political talk radio station ... sounds perfect right? Only instead of being a broadcaster on air, I sold commercial space... yes that's right... I sold air. Riveting! I wound up as a recruiter by chance, my best friend was doing it so I thought - "heck, if she can do it so can I!" It ended up being the best career decision I've made. It took me a few months to find out which niche of recruiting was for me but I finally found it and I couldn't be happier. I am a Human Resource Staffing Consultant. I continue to grow every day (even if it is as simple as learning new HR jargon).
