Hi! My name is Kat Farr. If I could choose one thing in the entire world that I would like others to know about me, it would be my love for country music.
This passion began when I was only nine years old, as my parents began playing it on the radio in our minivan. My first ever favorite country music artist was Luke Bryan. For my tenth birthday, my parents took my younger brother and me to his concert at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta Georgia. It was quite a memorable night because we were moved from our mid-section seating to the pit. My dad and I ended up making our way to the front row, and Luke must have noticed me constantly reaching up to him from my dad’s arms because at the end of the show, he walked over and knelt down to hug me. It’s safe to say that my expectations for future concerts have been high ever since.
My freshman year of high school, I discovered my current favorite artist, Morgan Wallen, while watching the CMA awards. I recall loving that specific performance so much that immediately began listening to more of his music, and he shortly became one of my favorites. Throughout high school, I battled Ticketmaster to go to his concerts with friends and family, and ended up going to a total of six within that four year timeframe. If you asked me if I’ve been to enough, I’d say no. His shows are fun, he has a cute personality, in my opinion, and he’s definitely worth going to see over and over again.
Those who know me fairly well could tell you how much I love to yap and post about my favorite memories, such as the time Riley Green waved back at me or the four separate times I was moved to the pit for free. I mean, after being front row for Megan Moroney at the Georgia Theatre this past November, my brothers were constantly complaining about how I refused to shut up about it!
