Hi! I’m an atmospheric scientist. I study climate change, one of the most pressing issues we face today.

I am a professor in the Department of Political Science and director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University, part of the Department of Interior’s South-Central Climate Science Center. I study what climate change means to us, our society, and the natural environment.

I also spend a lot of time talking to people about climate change - anywhere and everywhere, from churches and conservative Christian colleges to the Rubin Museum and the White House. My work has been featured on the Emmy award-winning series Years of Living Dangerously, and in media from the New York Times to Texas Monthly and Macleans.

In 2014 I was honoured to be named to TIME’s
