Katie Redmiles

Katie was born and raised in the DC area and has experience in writing, marketing, website management, PR, start-ups and social media marketing. Katie currently lives in Annapolis, Maryland. She previously spent two years living in beautiful San Francisco and working with a Silicon Valley based start-up. She was the second employee hired. The company was later acquired for $13M. Katie also worked as the Events Editor for a city/regional magazine in Maryland. She is currently an Internet Marketing Specialist for a tourism company in Annapolis, Maryland. She is continually looking for new outlets to expand her writing and online marketing skills.

Katie volunteers for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and served on the planning committee for the organization's 2015 "Baltimore Take Steps" which raised over $200,000. Through her family's small non-profit organization, the Thomas H. Redmiles Foundation, Katie has helped raise $54,000 through the T-Red Memorial Golf Classic. The charity golf tournament benefits the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America and funds a scholarship at Salisbury University.

Katie’s other activities include photography, yoga, kayaking and spending time with her two rescue dogs and the occasional foster dog.
