Hi, and welcome to my about.me page. I'm Katherine, from Danbury CT. There is nothing more rewarding to me than a set of balanced books. I come from a family of restaurant owners, and the closest form of bookkeeping my parents kept was a falling apart binder that was sometimes used as a seat cushion. I had taken a few excel courses in high school and was able to migrate the data into excel. It was nothing intense, but it kept track of revenues and expenditures better than the binder with 50 invoices folded and tucked in no sense of order. Since then, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career that would utilize my meticulous organization, analytical, and time management skills-essentially landed in accounting. My family no longer owns the restaurant, but I'm also not 16 anymore and messing with simple excel formulas. I am now an Accountant at Greenfield Global handling AP/AR/month-end and financial reconciliation. Eventually, I wanted to pursue a CPA license, but not now, since I've embarked on a new chapter in my life called motherhood. I am a fan of photography, travel, and food. I'm also interested in yoga and crafts (for my sanity to entertain a 24-month-old).
