Katherine Lavacca

I am an English major and journalism minor, and currently a junior at the University of Tampa. I hope to work in the field of journalism after graduation possibly as a travel journalist or a feature writer. I'm currently the Editor of the News and Features section for The Minaret, UTampa's weekly paper (with a quarterly magazine).

I love to write features on people with a story to tell. I've always loved hearing people talk about influential times in their life and I think it's important to capture these stories for future generations. Whether its bad, good, or ambiguous every story deserves to be heard.

I hope to fill this blog with different features on family, friends, and people I meet along the way, maybe I'll have a few stories of my own to tell.
