Katherine Stevens

Katherine is currently the co-ordinator of the Library at Kostka Hall/Xavier College in Brighton, Melbourne.

Before that she worked at Dubai International Academy as a PYP teacher-librarian

Katherine has a varied academic background with a B.A in English and History and an M.A in Asian Studies as well as teaching and librarian qualifications.

As a librarian Katherine's main aim is to encourage children to read as widely and often as possible because of all the benefits and pleasures this will bring them. It is Katherine's contention that reading is the basis of all education. The main duty of a teacher librarian is to help children discover their inner reader
