Katherine A. Giles
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Katherine A. Giles holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ancient Near Eastern Studies and Anthropology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the institution's Wharton School of Business. During her studies, Ms. Giles focused on comparative linguistic studies between Egyptian and Near Eastern languages, concentrating on Middle Egyptian, Demotic, Akkadian, and Biblical Hebrew. She earned both of her degrees cum laude. Before beginning her undergraduate career, Katherine A. Giles secured a Malcolm H. Kerr scholarship through the National Council on United States-Arab Relations, which allowed her to study in Egypt and prepare for her subsequent language work.
After graduating, Katherine A. Giles secured a position at Ernst & Young as a Senior in Insurance Audit Practice for the New York Financial Services Office. In this position, she worked with Fortune 500 property-causality and reinsurance companies. She provided supervision of staff members and completed due diligence on proposed acquisitions, among other duties. After three years, she became an Actuarial Analyst for Ernst & Young Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services.
