Katherine Swampy

I am a Councillor for the Samson Cree Nation, board of directors for Peace Hills Trust, board of directors for Maskwacis Cultural College, board of Trustees for Samson Education Trust Fund, Chair of the Consultation Committee, member of the Community Capital Planning (infrastructure) Committee, member of the Nipiy (water rights) Committee, public speaker, and student of Master of Public Policy Administration, currently living in Maskwacis, Alberta, Canada. My interests range from reading to politics. I am also interested in sewing, snowboarding, and fashion.

I also volunteer in my community teaching young girls to jingle dress dance, teaching oskanihkskewak to sew, teaching adults to read, and councilling suicidal youth. I have a reading program for grades 2-6 complete with awards and pizza parties, and 3 scholarships for parenting students;$1000 for University of Alberta, $1000 for Maskwacis students(available at SETF), and $500 for Maskwacis Cultural College.
