Kampala, Uganda

I'm a Global Health Corps fellow working in Quality Assurance for an HIV/AIDS treatment organization in Kampala, Uganda. I grew up in Marietta, Georgia and received my bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia before completing dual master's degrees in Public Health and Social Work (Global Health concentration) at Washington University in St. Louis. Passionate about furthering global health equity and evidence-based decisionmaking, I'm fueled by optimism and empathy.

Throughout grad school I worked on a cancer epidemiologist's research team and contributed to the creation, management, and documentation of an international web-based rare disease registry. I also provided proposal development and health policy research support to World Vision's International Programs team (Health/HIV division) and coordinated a free health fair for refugees and low-income families through the Himalayan Family Healthcare Project. I've designed and conducted health and nutrition program assessments in Missouri, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Uganda.

I've finished six half-marathons, love early mornings (with good coffee), traveling, writing, and always enjoy being outside.
