Kathie Turner

I was raised in Charlotte, NC, but currently live in Concord, NC. If you're into NASCAR racing, then you know Concord is where the Charlotte Motor Speedway resides.
Reading, writing, and true crime stories are my weaknesses. Nestling down with a good book soothes the mind; at least it soothes my mind. However, at times I wish I'd pursued criminology or forensic pathology as a career path since it holds my interest at an abnormal level.
Writing short stories and poems are avenues I use to create lasting memories. When an act of kindness, a thoughtful gesture, or the innocents of an inquisitive child captures my heart, the urge to put it on paper is so overwhelming that I have to write about it. On the other hand, acts of cruelty also pierce my heart to the point of my putting it on paper as well.
I'm married to the most wonderful, supportive husband a lady could ask for. Together we have a sweet, loving little girl who is rapidly growing before my eyes, despite my fears and uncertainties. I'm also blessed with four beautiful step-daughters who have enriched our lives with four grandchildren. Life is good!
