I love to take off on roads less traveled, especially when it means losing myself in some remote place until I feel like being found. I live on the road for weeks at a time exploring the North American backcountry, where I discover natural treasures and where I've been thrown into hair-raising adventures beyond my control. Living rough isn't everyone's cup of tea but I wouldn't trade my experiences in the wild for any 5 star hotel.
