Kathleen Corbet

Kathleen Corbet began preparations for her successful career in finance when she attended Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Computer Science. Her next educational endeavor took her to New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, where she received her Master of Business Administration in Finance with distinction.

Currently, Kathleen Corbet is the founder and principal of Cross Ridge Capital, LLC, a firm that provides private equity investment and consulting services to various companies, including BNE Energy, Inc.; StarVest Partners, L.P.; Emerging Managers Group, L.P.; and Rapid Ratings International. Kathleen Corbet also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees and on the Investment, Finance, and Advancement committees for The Jackson Laboratory, a biomedical research institution.

In addition, she sits on The New York Community Trust’s Investment Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (Mass Mutual Financial Group). As Team Leader of the New Canaan Senior Healthcare and Housing Policy Development Team, Kathleen Corbet led a subcommittee to explore senior housing and health options in the town of New Canaan and its surrounding areas in 2010. Kathleen Corbet served on the New Canaan Board of Finance from 2006 to 2010 and is a Justice of the Peace for the State of Connecticut.

Over the years, Kathleen Corbet has received many accolades and awards for her work and her volunteerism. In 2007, the New York University Alumni Association chose her for its Distinguished Alumna Award. In that same year, the InterSchool Orchestra of New York presented Kathleen Corbet with its InterSchool Orchestra Founder's Award for her distinguished contributions to the schoolchildren’s cultural advancement. The Stern School of Business at NYU gave her the Nichols Award, which commended her enterprise, service, and integrity; and the same institution gave her the Stern Women in Business Alumna of the Year Award. Kathleen Corbet received the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York’s Women of Distinction award and also the Boy Scouts of America Greater New York Councils’ Distinguished Women of the Year Award. In addition, the Commonwealth of Australia presented her with the Centenary Medal for her contributions to business leadership in Australia.
