Kathleen Hanafan

Kathleen Hanafan’s career has spanned 20 years and involved myriad executive positions in all sectors of business. A long stint in the field of telecommunications led to Ms. Hanafan to found her own Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) company, Onit Communications. There, she grew profits and implemented key mergers and acquisitions to make the organization one of the country’s key business-to-business VoIP companies. In addition, Ms. Hanafan served PRIMEDIA Workplace Leaning as Senior Vice President, managing this satellite-based learning company’s sales and operating divisions and contributing significantly to its total revenues. At the Internet service provider BroadbandNow, she developed a business plan for the company and raised more than $100 million in capital, enabling it to issue an initial public offering (IPO). Kathleen Hanafan acted as Director of Telecommunications at Tele-Communications Inc. and took responsibility for all company operations prior to its merger with AT&T. As Vice President of Archstone Communities Inc., a national real estate investment trust organization, Kathleen Hanafan gained experience in the business world by managing daily operations. She garnered further experience in this sector when she joined The X-Change Corporation and its subsidiary, AirGATE Technologies, Inc., as Director, a role in which she oversaw company operations and made strategic corporate decisions. All of this experience led Kathleen Hanafan to her current position as founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of HM Energy, LLC. Based in Sugar Land, Texas, HM Energy, LLC serves the oil and gas industry with technological innovations such as pedigree and logistics tracking, real-time operations logging, and asset and inventory management products and applications. In addition, the company specializes in state-of-the-art downhole technology for the industry. As President, Kathleen Hanafan runs the company in all areas of business, including maximizing profits, interacting with board members and investors, making strategic corporate decisions, and taking responsibility for all daily operations. Kathleen Hanafan takes time out of her busy schedule to spend time with her children. She also enjoys reading books and watching old movies, and trying out her hand in the kitchen.
