Kathleen J. Kiley
I have been a journalist for 22 years. I began my career on Wall Street, writing for Investment Dealers’ Digest, reporting on mergers and acquisitions. Over the years, I have written for national business magazines and The New York Times. I became interested in online publishing and storytelling and studied at New York University to learn interactive communications (ITP) in the late 1990s. Since then I have helped launch an online news service and began a documentary: Half a Soulja, http://www.halfasoulja.com, which is currently in post-production. Besides journalism, I love writing screenplays and plays. Isn’t It Delicious, which I wrote, was made into a feature-lenght film by director Michael Patrick Kelly, the producer on the documentary. The film will be distributed in late 2015/2016. I consider social media another tool for story telling. I study with Professor Sree Sreenivasan, a wonderful teacher at Columbia University, as much as I can.
