Kathleen is a public affairs and campaign consultant with over 20 years of experience in journalism, politics and the non-profit sector. Kathleen excels at crafting compelling messages that accelerate change. When not assessing the state of progressive politics, or working to raise her two boys, Kathleen is Principal at Monk & Associates dedicating her energies to advocacy campaigns, issues management, and guiding public affairs strategy.

A frequent media commentator on politics and public affairs, Ms. Monk appears weekly on CBC News Network's Power and Politics.

Before entering her career in politics, Kathleen worked in newsrooms in Toronto, Ottawa and Washington.

Kathleen appears regularly as a guest speaker for businesses and organizations where she speaks on Canada's political landscape, campaigns, persuasive communications tools, and progressive politics.

She sits on the board of CIVIX, a non-partisan charity dedicated to building active and engaged citizenship among young Canadians, and is a member of the Advisory Council of the Canadian Institute for Global Affairs.
