A well-told story is a thing of tremendous beauty to me, no matter the medium.
My first instinct is to tackle any obstacle head on and fast, which is why I like to remind myself of this quote by the Roman poet Ovid: "Gutta cavat lapidem." Dripping water hollows out stone. It helps me remember the small steps are just as important as the big ones.
I wish I could say I translate Latin poetry in my spare time but I discovered it as a mosaic in the subway at Bryant Park and now pass it often.
