Salty air, crashing waves, sunny skies, and sandy toes. Laughing children, lazy teenagers, and walking elders. Some of the most amazing places are found where land meets the sea. These places are beaches in which I find myself. At most every beach you find happiness and laughter, a few traits that can be used to describe me. Kids are throwing back and forth balls with their lacrosse sticks and flipping and flying down the beach with their tumbling skills. I like to live vicariously through them, as I was once one of them, a lacrosse player, and a cheerleader. Crashing waves produce chaos, as I like to do with my friends. Contrastingly, there is always that single still, quiet person lying out in a chair under the sunny blue sky surrounded by strangers. In crowds of strangers I do not know, I become silent and shy, just as the person lying in the chair. To escape the noise, this person dives into the ocean, entering his or her own little world, as I do when I read I book. The sunny day comes to an end in which there is a magnificent sky full of sherbet colors as the sun decides to set. Among these colors are some of my favorites. As the night comes, the stars light up the sky. One of the best ways to end a day at the beach is looking up at all the possibilities that could be out in the sparkly, dark sky.
