Kathryn MacDonald

Hi Everyone! I am 22 years old and currently attend the University of Florida studying nursing in the Accelerated nursing program. Prior, I graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Family and Child Sciences.

My last semester at FSU I had an internship at Pediatria, a healthcare center for kids with serious medical issues. There were many nurses that worked there and I ws able to see a bit of what they do. Other than that I have no previous nursing experience.

My career goals as a nurse include hopefully working with some type of pediatric population. I was fortunate enough to have a day of clinical in the NICU and I really enjoyed working with those babies. As of now, I do not plan on becoming a practitioner, I really enjoy bedside nursing.

Whenever we have time off from nursing school, I really enjoy planning trips and traveling. In the past 18 months I have traveled to 6 different countries with my boyfriend and hope to continue this hobby the rest of my life!
