Kathryn is an Australian living in Southeast Queensland with over eight years' professional experience in the government and not-for-profit sector, international development and the United Nations.

Kathryn has demonstrated competency in human rights, dispute resolution, governance, development programming, project management and research.

Kathryn is a postgraduate with a second-level masters in human rights and multi-level governance (L.M) and an advanced first-level masters (E.MA) in human rights and democratisation, and holds a double bachelor degree in science (BSc) and arts (BA) at the University of Queensland.

Kathryn has had post-conflict training in Kosovo, conflict and dispute resolution and peace methodologies training in Cambodia and cultural mediation training in Australia, Italy and Greece.

In 2013, Kathryn designed and conducted interviews with key civil society and human rights actors at the World Social Forum in Tunisia.

Kathryn's professional experience spans Australia, Southeast Asia and Europe. Thematic areas include human rights, capacity building, governance and international affairs.

Kathryn has worked in the human rights departments at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade at the Australian Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights as well as the United Nations Educational, Social and Cultural Organisation in Venice, Italy.

Kathryn has held various positions in the international arts sector since 2015 and in 2017 served as personal assistant to the Australian Commissioner at the Venice Art Biennale.

In 2018, she worked on a short-term project in the not-for-profit sector in Greece to support immigrants, migrants and Greeks through social integration and employment services.

Since returning to Australia in 2020, Kathryn has held positions at the Yunus Centre, Griffith University, in social impact, the School of Political Science at the University of Queensland as tutor, and is currently employed at the Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
