I have worked in Libraries for the past 30 years in Institutions including, The University of Western Sydney-Nepean, The Royal Blind Society NSW, Westmead Hospital NSW, Schools Private, and Public, and Councils both in NSW & Qld. I am a fully Qualified Library Technician, Librarian, and Teacher Aide.
I completed my Master's Degree in Information Technology -Library Major at QUT in 2015. After four years at Glass House Christian College, Beerwah QLD from 2011 -to 2014 as their Library Technician. I accepted a full-time position as Librarian at the Australian Christian College -Moreton Qld and have successfully designed and created their first-ever library by implementing a Cloud-Based library software system.
I managed and cataloged all resources for teachers and students from Prep to Year 12. With an additional 800 online Distance Education students. I implemented the yearly library programs including NSS and Book Week and include the online students to participate in certain events. I had two book clubs, one for the day students and one for the online students.
I accepted the position of Librarian - Head of Information Services at Victory College in Gympie Qld. -August 2017. This is another beautiful school with outstanding library facilities Kindy, Prep to Year 12. I moved to NSW and worked for ClueyLearning.com as one of their online Tutors in English for Years 3-8.
Currently working at Tocal Agricultural College implementing and designing a Digital archive using eHive and part time educational tour guide for Primary schools.
I love working in the ever-changing world of Information Management. The many challenges and the wonderful development of new ways of presenting technology for interpreting literacy. Having said that, I firmly believe it is vital to still read a story to any child who asks for one.
