Kathryn Jamieson
Museum Professional, Curator, and Professor in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Kathryn is the Curator Manager at Goulbourn Museum in the west end of Ottawa, ON. She graduated from the Applied Museum Studies program at Ottawa's Algonquin College in 2010, and has been working with the Goulbourn Museum since 2008. She has developed, designed and delivered programs and exhibitions, and she now focuses on securing funding, writing policies, managing the artefact collection, administration, and human resources.
Prior to her museum career, Kathryn graduated from Sheridan College's Crafts & Design program in Oakville, ON, with a focus on glassblowing (2004). She participated in a number of art exhibitions, including the juried Emerging Artists show at Material Matters in Toronto (2004) and Fragile Nature at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery in Waterloo (2005) and later at the Robert McLaughlin Gallery (2006). More recently, she participated in LabSpace Studio's In Memory and Re-Collection exhibitions (2012) and the Noise Project (2013). Kathryn has exhibited her work in several art and craft shows including the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, AWOL's Square Foot & the One of a Kind Show in Toronto.
