Kathryn Philpott-Hill

A respected dental practitioner, Kathryn Philpott-Hill, DDS, maintained a North Carolina private practice for more than a decade and served the needs of individuals and families in the Sylva community. Active with the American Dental Association. Dr. Kathryn Philpott-Hill provided patient care for a wide range of dental issues, including cavities and broken teeth.

Also known as carries, cavities are associated with starchy foods that are broken down by bacteria into sugars. These in turn create the acids that eat into the enamel and create holes in teeth. Dentistry emphasizes the importance of preventing tooth decay through regular flossing and brushing.

Dr. Kathryn Philpott-Hill has a long-standing passion for arts and music, and took ballet lessons at an early age. She supports cultural organizations in her local community, including the Asheville Arts Museum and the Asheville Film Festival. Over the last six years, the latter event has established a reputation for supporting up-and-coming filmmakers with unique cinematic perspectives.
