Kathryn Shuler
Student, Social Media Manager, and Project Manager in Atlanta, GA
I’m Kathryn Shuler, a junior Mass Media Arts major at Clark Atlanta University with a concentration in Public Relations. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I’ve always been drawn to the connection between sports, culture, and community. My passion lies in storytelling and branding within the sports industry, where I aim to create spaces that celebrate diversity, creativity, and authenticity.
I currently serve as a PR and Social Media Intern for Black Girls Love Football, where I develop HBCU-centered content, manage digital campaigns, and assist with community engagement events that highlight women’s influence in sports, fashion, and beauty. I also work with Black Sports Mom as a 2025 Fall Cohort Intern, focusing on client outreach, partnership development, and service sales to help expand the brand’s reach and visibility.
In addition to my internship experience, I previously worked as a Grind Pretty Fellow, supporting event execution, non-profit outreach, and strategic marketing initiatives for women-led organizations. Through my freelance design brand, KS Kreated, I’ve created more than 100 custom graphics and branding materials for small businesses, helping them grow their digital presence and connect with their audiences.
On campus, I serve as the Vice President of Digital for the Clark Atlanta University Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). In this role, I manage our digital strategy, design event materials, and help plan initiatives that promote student development, including the 2026 NABJ National Convention in Atlanta.
As I continue to grow in my career, I’m especially interested in sports branding at both the team and athlete level and have developed a growing appreciation for niche sports like golf. My goal is to use media and public relations to tell stories that inspire, empower, and elevate the culture.
